What this qualification is for

CHC42021 reflects the role of community service workers who deliver and support person-centred services to individuals and groups. Workers may provide support, advocacy or interventions to individual persons, groups or communities across a range of services.

At this level, workers may be autonomous with limited responsibility within established parameters and may supervise others. Work may take place in a range of community service, case work or case management contexts.

Course description

This qualification supports people working in community services roles that provide support, advocacy and interventions. It aligns to person-centred practice and common service contexts including community service, case work and case management.

Packaging summary
Total number of units = 15 (7 core units plus 8 elective units). At least 6 elective units must be selected from the elective units listed in the qualification. Up to 2 elective units may be selected from the remaining elective list or any endorsed Training Package or accredited course. All electives must contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
